Nissan has launched the updated Terrano at a price of Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The new version has 22 new features at the exterior and interior. The new Terrano is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine, of which the petrol engine produces 102 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel variants will be available in two states of tune – one that develops 83 hp and 200 Nm of torque and the other that makes 108 hp and 248 Nm of torque. The diesel engines are paired to 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual gearbox respectively. The SUV is also offered with an AMT transmission that features a 6-speed Advanced Auto Drive gearbox. Design: The 2017 Terrano has received upgrades such as 4- pod design headlamps with LED DRLs and Nissan signature chrome grille at the front, while at the rear the SUV gets combination head lamps. In addition, the Terrano gets ORVM's with integrated turn indicators, roof rails and 16 inch machined alloy wheels. Also, the new Terrano is available in new colour- Sandstone Brown.

Interior: Nissan has given a major updates to the interiors of the 2017 Terrano and now it features a 7-inch touch screen with navigation system compatible with Bluetooth, USB and AUX and voice recognition. In addition, the SUV gets an all new Steering wheel design with steering mounted controls for audio and cruise control. New infotainment system: The new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the new Terrano adds to the convenience of driver and other vehicle occupants. It features satellite navigation with speed limit warning and can highlight turns that need to be taken, making it easier for the driver to drive through new roads. The system can also automatically show the nearest fuel pumps in case the low-fuel warning comes on. In terms of connectivity, the system supports Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB and FM.

Safety: The 2017 Terrano features Nissan's safety shield technologies and is developed with a Monocoque Body. It also gets ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual front airbags and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard, the last being a new inclusion. In addition, it gets Hill assist control and emergency brake warning that tells you if there something unusual with the e-brake (hand brake) of the car.
