BMW 8 Series Convertible is the second model in the 8 Series line-up and combines the BMW's dynamic design flair with open-top driving experience. The luxurious BMW 8 Series convertible can seat up to four people, the new BMW car will go on sale globally in March 2019 with two model variants.

BMW M850i xDrive with 530 hp V8 engine and BMW 840d xDrive Convertible with a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine and 320 hp. Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive.

BMW 8 Series gets a soft-top roof with fully electric convertible roof. Roof opens and closes in 15 seconds at the touch of a button and when travelling at up to 50 km/h. Soft-top in Black as standard or Anthracite Silver effect as an option.

The exterior design of the new BMW 8 Series is based on the new BMW design language that gets the old BMW proportions but aggressive flowing lines along the sides of the car and the taut soft-top gives it a distinctive “deck” silhouette.

As in the standard BMW 8 Series, the Convertible variant also features Adaptive LED headlights and LED rear lights as standard. BMW Laserlight with Selective Beam and high beam range increased to 600 metres available as an option says the German carmaker.

The optional M Sport package on the BMW 8 Series 840d xDrive Convertible gets more design features and equipment. It gets a new front and rear apron with extra-large air intakes with 19-inch M light-alloy wheels. It also gets M Sport braking system, multifunction seats and M leather steering wheel with door sills getting the M Logo.

The other luxurious features on the BMW 8-Series Convertible features wireless charging, BMW Display Key, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, Heat Comfort package, active seat ventilation, Automatic Soft Close function for the doors, glass applications for selected controls.
