As we all know, electric vehicle (EV) sales across the world have slowed down due to several reasons. However, sales of electric two-wheelers in India continues to grow and find its flow as market share heads towards double digit. Currently, the market share of electric two-wheelers stands at around 6 percent in the overall two-wheeler market in India.
In the recent past, especially in 2025, we have seen several new electric two wheelers getting launched in India. On this World EV Day, let us look at the top 5 electric two scooters that are worth considering today.
Ola S1 Pro Sport (Gen 3)
Ola Electric launched the S1 Pro Sport Gen 3 in August this year. Priced at Rs 1.50 lakh, ex-showroom, customers can pre-book the S1 Pro Sport for Rs 999, and deliveries for the new Ola scooter will commence in January 2026. The new Ola S1 Pro Sport features a smaller 5.2 kWh battery pack as compared to the S1 Pro+’s 5.3 kWh unit. However, the range has increased, and Ola claims an IDC range of 320km. The battery pack can be charged from 20–80 percent in 15 minutes, most likely with a fast charger.

Ultraviolette Tesseract
The Tesseract is the first electric scooter from Ultraviolette which is based on the company’s next-generation platform. Priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), The scooter runs on 14-inch wheels and gets a telescopic front suspension. The overall design is also futuristic and the scooter gets a massive 7-inch touchscreen TFT instrument console, an integrated dashcam, wireless charging for phones, and more.

Hero Vida VX2
Hero MotoCorp launched the Vida VX2 in July this year, available in two variants: VX2 Go and VX2 Plus. It’s priced at Rs 99,490 and Rs 1.10 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. powered by a 2.2 kWh single removable battery with an IDC range of 92 km. According to Hero MotoCorp, it does 0 – 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 70 kmph. It is equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD digital display and has two ride modes — Eco and Ride.Â

Kinetic DX
Another big launch in the electric two-wheeler space was the Kinetic DX inspired by the scooter of the same name in the 1980s and 90s. Available in two variants: DX and DX, the DX electric scooter is priced at Rs 1,11,499 and Rs 1,17,499 (both ex-showroom), respectively. The new Kinetic DX uses a hub-mounted 4.8 kW motor paired with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery under the floorboard. It delivers a top speed of 90 kmph and a range of 102 km (base) or 116 km (top-spec) per charge. With cruise lock at 25–30 kmph on flat roads, range can stretch to 150 km. The scooter offers three ride modes: Range, Power, and Turbo.

TVS Orbiter
TVS launched its third electric scooter named Orbiter last month at a price of Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom). Powering the Orbiter is a 3.1kWh battery pack that TVS claims offers an IDC range of 158km on a full charge. It is loaded with features such as a digital instrument cluster that supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, cruise control, hill hold function, and reverse parking assist.
