Ultraviolette has launched its second product for the day, the Shockwave enduro e-bike, priced at Rs 1.75 lakh, ex-showroom. The Ultraviolette Shockwave can be bought by the first 1,000 customers for Rs 1.50 lakh. The Shockwave was launched alongside the Tesseract e-scooter, which claims a range of 261km.
Ultraviolette Shockwave — More details
The Ultraviolette Shockwave is built around a new platform specifically developed for off-road and roadster motorcycles. The frame is suspended by long-travel telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, and wire-spoke wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tyre. Overall, the motorcycle looks like it takes inspiration from rally-raid motorcycles and is road-legal, meaning it can be registered and used on the road.
The Shockwave is powered by a 4kWh battery pack that claims an IDC range of 165km. Furthermore, the bike can accelerate from 0–60kmph in 2.9 seconds while it can reach a top speed of 120kmph, making it a fun motorcycle. Adding to the excitement will be a claimed peak torque of 505Nm from the motor that makes 14.5bhp with a weight of just 120kg.
There are a number of electronic aids too, such as four traction control modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, and six levels of dynamic regeneration. This seems to be an interesting package.
The Shockwave will be available in two colours – Cosmic Black and Frost White, while bookings for the motorcycle are open on the company’s official website. Deliveries of the Ultraviolette Shockwave are set to commence from the first quarter of 2026, alongside the Tesseract.
