Companies such as Ather and Ola led sales, while larger OEMs were hot on their heels, but seems like times are changing. Here’s a look at the top 5 best-selling electric scooters in April 2024.

Ampere Greaves Electric
In fifth place is Ampere, a company that is now owned by Greaves Electric, which registered sales of 2,511 units in April 2024 while the company registered sales of 551 units in April 2023, registering a YoY growth of 355 percent.
Ather Energy
Bengaluru-based startup Ather slid down the ladder in April 2024, after registering sales of 4,062 units in April 2024, as compared to 7,802 units sold in April 2023, registering a YoY sales decline of 47.9 percent last month.
Bajaj
In third is Bajaj, having sold 7,529 units of its only electric offering, the Chetak EV. Bajaj registered sales of 7,529 units in April 2024, as compared to 4,093 units in April 2023, witnessing an 83.9 percent growth last month.
TVS
The TVS iQube has been a silent seller for the company in the EV segment and in April 2024, the Hosur-based two-wheeler maker sold 7,675 electric vehicles, registering a YoY decline of 12.3 percent. In April 2023, TVS sold 8,758 units.
Ola
Ola takes the lead again in the electric scooter segment in April 2024, after registering sales of 33,963 units and witnessing a YoY growth of 53.9 percent compared to April 2023, when the Bengaluru-based startup sold 22,068 units.
