Hero MotoCorp has confirmed the launch of the new Vida VX2, which was spotted at a dealership without any camouflage cladding. Last year, Hero unveiled the Vida Z at the EICMA two-wheeler expo in Milan, which is now called Vida VX2. The new electric scooter will make its debut on July 1. Based on the latest Vida VX2 spied undisguised images from Car and Bike, here’s what we know so far.

Hero Vida VX2: What is it?

The new Vida VX2 is going to be a budget-friendly range from Hero MotoCorp and is expected to be slotted below the current lineup. The undisguised electric scooter reveals that it will be called VX2 and not Vida Z. Also, with the Plus badge, the new Vida VX2 could offer three variants like the Vida V2 — Lite, Plus and Pro. The new electric scooter could be available in three battery packs — 2.2 kWh, 3.4 kWh and 3.9 kWh.

The spotted Vida VX2 comes in an eye-catching candy yellow colour, which is a new paint scheme in the Vida lineup. It gets an all-black grab rail and has retained the tail light from the Vida V2. The switches of the VX2 are slightly different from the Vida V2 and appear to have a physical key slot. The Vida V2 comes with a 7-inch touchscreen instrument display, but the spy images reveal that the VX2 version is equipped with a smaller and more basic digital screen.

Hero Vida V2 lineup: Price and Specifications

The Vida V2 profile is available in three trims: Lite, Plus and Pro. The price starts from Rs 74,000, the Plus at Rs 85,300, and the Pro at Rs 1,15,300, ex-showroom. The entry-level Lite comes with a 2.2 kWh battery, a range of 94 km, a top speed of 69 kmph and two ride modes — Eco and Ride. The mid-range Plus is powered by a 3.4 kWh battery with an IDC range of 143 km, a top speed of 85 kmph and three ride modes — Eco, City and Sports. The Pro gets a 3.9 kWh battery, which offers an IDC range of 165 km and a top speed of 90 kmph. It retains the three ride modes.
