German carmaker Porsche has unveiled its facelifted flagship electric sedan, the Taycan. The new Porsche Taycan facelift receives minor cosmetic tweaks and major updates to its drivetrain, resulting in more power.
The exterior design is based on the 2019 model when the car was first launched. The Taycan facelift gets the matrix LED headlight setup, revised front and rear bumpers, air intakes have been redesigned, and the car gets new tail lamps. The alloy wheels have also seen an update with the Taycan facelift.
Inside, the new Porsche Taycan gets a new digital instrument console, a larger infotainment system, and a third display for the passenger, similar to the new Porsche Macan EV’s setup. Porsche is offering non-leather seat upholstery options as well.
All three versions of the new Taycan – Standard, Cross Turismo, and Sport Turismo – get a new 105bhp rear axle motor, and depending on the variant, the electric sedan can be had with an 89kWh battery pack or a 105kWh pack, with the latter offering a range of 678km.
With the tweaks done to the battery pack and performance, Porsche says that the Taycan facelift’s battery pack can be charged from 10–80 percent in 18 minutes, while the car can do a 100kmph from a standstill in 2.4 seconds.
