It’s finally happening. Ola Electric will start rolling out its first electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, on May 23. Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola Electric, posted it on X (former Twitter). In his post, he wrote, “Roadster X deliveries starting this Friday! Excited to see customers experience our bike.” After a delay in the deliveries of the Roadster X three times, the electric motorcycle will finally be available from May 23 onwards.
Ola Roadster X: Variants and Specifications
Ola Electric’s Roadster X is available in two main variants: the Roadster X and the Roadster X+. The standard Roadster X offers three battery options—2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh—all paired with a 7 kW electric motor producing 9.4 bhp. Depending on the battery, the top speed ranges up to 118 kmph, and the 0–40 kmph sprint is achieved in just 3.1 seconds. The 4.5 kWh variant delivers a claimed range of 252 km on a full charge.
The Roadster X+ steps up with either a 4.5 kWh or a larger 9.1 kWh battery, powered by an 11 kW motor generating 14.75 bhp. This version reaches a top speed of 125 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.7 seconds. The 4.5 kWh X+ offers a 252 km range, while the flagship 9.1 kWh model, featuring the advanced 4680 Bharat Cell, boasts an impressive 501 km range per charge.
Ola Roadster X: Prices
The entry-level Roadster X 2.5 kWh offers a certified range of 140 km and a top speed of 105 kmph. According to Ola Electric, it does 0 – 40 kmph in 3.4 seconds and costs Rs 99,999. The mid-level Roadster X 3.5 kWh is priced at Rs 1,09,999 and has a range of 196 km. It accelerates to 40 kmph from standstill in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 118 kmph. The 4.5 kWh model is priced at Rs 1,24,999 and has a certified range of 252 km with a top speed of 118 kmph. It does 0 – 40 kmph in 3.1 seconds.
The premium Roadster X+ is available in two variants — the 4.5 kWh and the 9.1 kWh. The former is priced at Rs 1,29,999 and offers a range of 252 km. It boasts a top speed of 125 kmph and does 0-40 kmph in 2.7 seconds.
The Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh offers a certified range of 501 km with a top speed of 125 kmph. It accelerates 0 – 40 kmph in 2.7 seconds and is priced at Rs 1,99,999.
