Ola Roadster series electric motorcycles launched at Rs 75,000

Ola Electric has finally launched the Roadster e-motorcycles in India and deliveries are set to begin next year.

The long tease is over and Ola has finally launched the Roadster series of electric motorcycles, priced at Rs 75,000 onwards, ex-showroom. The Ola Roadster series consists of three variants — Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro. Bookings for the motorcycles commence today, while deliveries are set to begin next year.

The entry-level variant is the Roadster X, which is powered by either a 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, or a 4.5 kWh battery pack, which helps the motorcycle accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.8 seconds and carry on to achieve a top speed of 124 kmph, while returning a range of 200km on a full charge.

The motorcycle features Sports, Normal, and Eco riding modes, a 4.3-inch LCD segment display powered by MoveOS 5, Ola Maps Navigation (Turn by Turn), advanced regen, cruise control, TPMS alerts, OTA updates and more. The motorcycle comes with Digital Key Unlock and Ola Electric App connectivity as well.

Moving on to the mid variant, the Roadster, the motorcycle can be had with 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, or 6 kWh battery packs, while it has a top speed of 126 kmph and offers a range of 248 km. The Roadster gets Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco ride modes, while featuring a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen, proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode, and tamper alert, along with AI-powered features such as Krutrim Assistant, smartwatch app, and road trip planner.  The motorcycle gets disc brakes at the front and the rear, supported by a single-channel, cornering ABS.

Lastly, the range-topping Roadster Pro, which offers big bike performance on paper. The motorcycle is powered by an 8 or a 16kWh battery pack and the latter helps the motorcycle reach 60 in 1.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 194 kmph, while offering a range of 579km. If that’s not impressive, the Pro version also gets ADAS, three-level traction control, integrated ride modes, and more.
