Ola Electric motorcycle production begins — Likely to be showcased on Republic Day

Ola Electric is working on motorcycles and this was known news for a while ever since the company showcased concepts a couple of years ago. After a brief halt, the company rekindled the buzz again before it went silent. Now, Bhavish Aggarwal has tweeted a picture of the motorcycle being assembled in the factory, which can likely be showcased on Republic Day.

Ola electric motorcycles — What to expect?

A couple of years ago, Ola showcased a roadster, an adventure motorcycle, a cruiser, and a super sport concept. Last year, Ola unveiled the Roadster and announced key details of the motorcycle, including its variants — Roadster, Roadster X, and Roadster Pro. The motorcycles are priced at Rs 74,999 onwards, and have multiple battery pack options.

The Roadster X gets three battery pack options: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. The entry-level 2.5kWh variant has a top speed of 105kmph while Ola claims a range of 117km on a full charge. The range-topping Roadster X with the 4.5kWh battery pack has a top speed of 124kmph with a range of 200km.

The Roadster is the next variant, which is also available in three variants. The base 3.5kWh version has a top speed of 116kmph and a range of 151km, while the mid-spec 4.5kWh version has a range of 190km and a top speed of 126kmph, and the range-topping Roadster with the 6kWh battery pack has a range of 248km and a top speed of 126kmph.

The range-topping version is the Roadster Pro, available with either an 8kWh battery pack or a 16kWh battery pack. Focused on performance, the former has a top speed of 154kmph and a range of 316km, while the latter claims a top speed of 194kmph and 597km range!

Ola Electric motorcycles — pricing and delivery timeline

The Ola Electric Roadster X and Roadster deliveries are set to begin form January 2025, likely a few days from now. The Roadster Pro models have a delivery timeline of January 2026, while one can reserve the motorcycles on the official website.
