There is another new electric bike in town now. Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility in its latest product expansion initiative under both Joy e-rik and Joy e-bike business verticals has introduced the electric two-wheeler, Nemo. Booking for the Nemo has already started at an introductory price of Rs 98,000. The introductory pffer is at a discount of Rs 1000 compared to the product’s ex-showroom price of Rs 99,000.
The bike has a top speed of 65 km/h and tne company claims a range of 130 km/charge in Eco mode. The running cost, as per the company’s claims are 17 paisa per km.
Nemo: A look at specifications
The Nemo is a lighweight bike targetted for urban consumers . It has a payload capacity of 150 kg and offers three drive modes—Eco, Sport, and Hyper. The electric bike is stylish with a digital speedometer, 5″ full-color TFT display and projector LED headlight.It is available in two colour options- silver and white.
Nemo: Battery, brakes, motor
Nemo is equipped with 72V, 40Ah lithium-ion (NMC) battery with Smart BMS. However the company is currently sourcing the battery from NCR-based suppliers but plans to dvelop in-house expertise going forward. It offers USB mobile charging, reverse assist and park assist features prioritising rider convenience.
The Nemo is powered by a 1500W DC Brushless Hub Motor (BLDC) with a 3-speed motor controller.It has a front telescopic fork suspension and rear dual shock absorbers. The braking system features hydraulic disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, with a combi-brake system.
Nemo: Safety Features
The Nemo comprises of key safety elements like anti-theft smart remote lock, hazard indicators and vehicle tracking with geo-fencing through IoT-enabled features.
The smart CAN-enabled battery system integrates with mobile apps (Android & iOS) for remote monitoring, real-time tracking and cloud-connected insights.
Nemo: Aggressive sales target
Speaking after the launch, Akhtar Khatri, Director- Sales and Strategy: Domestic and international, 2W – 3W – 4W said that the company aims to sell, “35000 two-wheelers by end of FY25 and see potential for 22-24% uptick in FY26. The total two-wheeler sales is likely to be around 50,000 for next financial year.
