JSW MG Motor registered monthly sales of 5,829 units for April 2025, which is a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 23% over April 2024 with 4,725 units. The big news is that the company announced it sold over 20,000 Windsor EVs and officially stated that the vehicle is the best-selling EV for the last seven consecutive months.
MG Windsor EV: Specifications
The Windsor EV comes in three variants — Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. It is equipped with a 38 kWh battery pack that produces 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. According to the company, the Windsor EV has a top speed of 170 kmph and sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds. Based on ARAI, the certified range of the Windsor EV is 332 km. Â
For charging, it takes 15 hours to reach 100% using a 3.3 kW charger, 7.5 hours with a 7.4 kW charger, and just 55 minutes to charge from 0 to 80% using a 50 kW fast charger.
The top model Windsor EV is equipped with an 8.8-inch instrument display, 6-way power driver seat height adjustment, ventilated front row seats, all LED lights and a leather package that includes the dashboard, driver armrest, door trims, steering wheel and seat upholstery.
The Windsor EV comes standard with safety features like Electric Parking Brake, 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and all 4 disc brakes.
New Windsor EV Long Range coming soon
Based on media reports, JSW MG will soon be rolling out the Windsor EV long range. The new model is expected to get a bigger 50.6 kWh battery and, based on the global model’s figures, the Wuling Cloud EV offers a range of 460 km. The Windsor EV is expected to make its debut this month.
