The Windsor EV is the first vehicle under the partnership of JSW MG Motor. It will also be the first crossover EV in the mass market segment. The Windsor EV is expected to be slotted between the affordable Comet EV and the ZS EV. MG Motor has confirmed that the crossover will make its debut in India on September 11. MG Windsor EV: What is it?
The Windsor, an electric crossover, will be marketed globally as the Wuling Cloud EV. Given its dimensions, it is anticipated to offer a roomy interior. The vehicle measures 4295 mm in length, 1850 mm in width, and 1652 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. This MPV accommodates five passengers and features LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on all four wheels, and flush door handles.
The Windsor EV boasts a massive 15.6-inch infotainment system, the largest in its class. Additionally, it features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a backseat that reclines up to 135 degrees, electrically adjustable front seats, a 360-degree camera, and more.
MG Windsor EV: Powertrain
The Windsor EV is anticipated to have a 50.6 kWh battery, delivering an output of 132 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. It boasts a driving range of approximately 460 km. When using an AC charger, it can charge from 20 per cent to 100 per cent in 7 hours. With a DC charger, it can go from 30 per cent to 100 per cent in just 30 minutes.
MG Windsor EV: Safety
The Windsor EV gets an ADAS suite with eight features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Safe Distance Warning, Intelligent High Beam Assist etc. The Windsor EV has four airbags, ABS & EBD, electronic stability control, an electric parking brake with auto hold, hill hold control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
