Hyundai has officially unveiled the Ioniq 6 N, its second high-performance EV, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. Building on the success of the Ioniq 5 N and developed under the philosophy of “Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar”, this new sedan signals Hyundai’s entry into the world of performance EVs.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: Performance
The Ioniq 6 N is a track-ready EV equipped with dual motors producing up to 641 bhp and 770 Nm of torque. According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 N sprints 0 – 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 257 kmph.
The vehicle’s 84.0 kWh battery supports ultra-fast charging, reaching 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes with a 350 kW charger. Hyundai’s advanced N Battery Management system preconditions battery temperature for drag races, endurance laps, or sprint runs, ensuring optimal performance in any scenario.
Aerodynamics are key to its track dominance. The Ioniq 6 N features motorsport-inspired elements like a swan-neck rear wing, widened fenders, and a drag coefficient of just 0.27. This sleek yet aggressive design enhances both downforce and stability, allowing the car to corner with razor-sharp precision.
