The electric scooter segment was kick-started by startups and slowly, mainstream manufacturers joined, such as TVS, Bajaj, and Hero. The latest in the segment is the Hero Vida V1 Plus, launched at Rs 1.15 lakh ex-showroom, which is Rs 30,000 more affordable than the V1 Pro.
The new Vida V1 Plus sits right in the middle of a segment that is popular, consisting of the Ather 450S, Ola S1 Air, TVS iQube, and the Bajaj Chetak Urbane, which is new for 2024. Here’s how the new Hero Vida V1 compares against its competition in terms of specifications, range, and powertrain.

Amongst the scooters, the TVS iQube is the most expensive and takes the longest to accelerate from 0 to 40kmph, while Bajaj does not reveal the time at all. The Vida is the quickest to charge from 0 to 80 percent, while the Ola S1 Air is the quickest accelerating scooter and the one to offer the most range. The Ather 450S and Ola S1 Air have the same top speed, while the Chetak Urbane has the least top speed.
