Hero has launched three new versions of the Vida electric scooters, called the Vida V2 Lite, Plus, and Pro. With the launch of the new electric scooters, Hero has entered the sub 1 lakh EV segment, with the Vida V2 Lite carrying a price tag of Rs 96,000. Let’s take a more detailed look at the new Hero Vida V2 electric scooters.
Hero Vida V2 Lite, Plus and Pro — Battery specifications
The primary difference between the Lite, Plus, and Pro are the battery packs. The Vida V2 Lite is powered by a 2.2 kWh pack, while the Vida V2 Plus gets a 3.44 kWh battery pack and the Vida V2 Pro gets a 3.94 kWh battery pack. Hero says that the batteries can be recharged at home, which takes about 6 hours to charge up to 80 percent.
The motor develops 25Nm of torque and in the V2 Pro model, it can help accelerate the scooter from 0–40kmph in 2.9 seconds while helping it reach a top speed of 90kmph. The range-topping Hero Vida V2 Pro also gets four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom.
Hero Vida V2 Lite, Plus and Pro — Features and competition
In terms of features, the new Vida V2 electric scooter range get a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle telematics, battery state-of-charge (SoC), and more, cruise control, keyless go, and advanced regen. The company offers a 5-year or 50,000 km vehicle warranty, while the battery pack has a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty.
The new Hero Vida V2 electric scooter range will compete with the Ather Rizta, 450X, Ola S1 range, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and others in the electric scooter segment.
