Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, announced the appointment of Vikas Singh as its new Managing Director, effective June 2, 2025. Singh will oversee the company’s strategic direction and drive its next phase of expansion, with the existing management team reporting directly to him.
Singh brings extensive leadership experience in fostering growth across India’s dynamic consumer-facing sectors. His background in regulated environments has further honed his ability to implement transformative changes with resilience and agility. An alumnus of FMS, University of Delhi, Mr. Singh has held significant leadership roles in both Indian and multinational organizations.
This key appointment underscores GEML’s unwavering commitment to its core mission of democratizing smart and sustainable mobility solutions for all Indians. It also signifies a pivotal step in strengthening the company’s position within India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) landscape. Greaves runs an electric two-wheeler manufacturing business under the Ampere. The most recent launch by Ampere was the Reo 80 electric scooter which is priced at Rs 59,900. Being a low-speed electric scooter with a top speed of 25 kmph doesn’t require a license or registration.
