Ferrari will debut its first electric vehicle on October 9. The announcement was made by Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna while announcing the company’s 2024 financial figures. He said Ferrari will “reveal more of our future on 9 October at our Capital Markets Day”. The electric Ferrari will be one of the six new models the company plans to introduce this year.
Ferrari electric car — What do we know so far?
To keep it short, nothing much is known. The all-electric Ferrari was seen testing on the streets of Maranello under full camouflage, and to make it worse, the car was even seen wearing a Maserati Levante SUV body shell and fake exhausts. Seems like Ferrari knows how to hide their prototypes well.
Moving on, Ferrari says that the electric car has undergone testing for several thousand kilometres, speaking to Autocar UK. The carmaker has also added a new production line for EVs in its facility, which can also make ICEs and hybrid models. The line will eventually start manufacturing batteries, electric motors and axles.
Other Ferrari models
Other showcases expected this year are the successors to the Roma and SF90. The company will also start delivering its LaFerrari successor, the F80. The company ended production of the Portofino M, SF90 Stradale, 812 Superfast and Roma last year. The carmaker also launched the Ferrari 12Cilindri in India, starting at a price of Rs 8.5 crore for the coupe and Rs 9.15 crore for the Spider version.
