Chinese carmaker BYD is all set to launch the Seal in India on March 5. However, the specifications of the BYD Seal have surfaced online, revealing details. Before we get into it, the BYD Seal will be brought to India as a CBU and will be positioned above the BYD Atto 3.
For India, the Seal electric car will be powered by an 82.5kWh battery pack and sold in a single variant. The battery pack will offer a claimed range of 570km on a full charge, while the single electric motor powering the rear wheels makes 230bhp and 360Nm of torque.
Unofficial bookings for the BYD Seal are open at select dealerships and when launched in India in March, the Seal will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and the Volvo C40 Recharge in terms of pricing, and will be the only sedan in the segment.
