EV company BNC Motors has launched its latest electric scooter in India, the Perfetto, at Rs 1.13 lakh, ex-showroom. The pricing is introductory and the scooter will be available from the end of this month. BNC Motors has teamed up with the Japanese company Musashi to develop the powertrain. Here are more details.
Perfetto Electric scooter — What is it?
The Perfetto e-scooter is yet another contender for city commutes, but stands out with its metal body, similar to the Chetak. The scooter features a classic design with modern-day engineering under its skin. The scooter is available in four colours: Pangong Blue, Nilgiris Green, Tokyo Red, and Veneto White.
The scooter features telescopic front forks, a single-sided shock absorber at the rear, drum brakes at both ends with a combined braking system, and more. The company claims that the Perfetto has the largest floorboard in the segment while featuring a 750mm long seat and 25-litre storage under the seat.
The scooter’s battery pack is BNC’s proprietary Etrol 40 battery and the electric drivetrain has been developed by Japan’s Musashi, a company that specialises in designing, developing, and manufacturing products such as Differential Assemblies, Transmission Gears and Assemblies, and Linkage and Suspension (L&S) products. The company says that it will have a range of up to 160km depending on the version. The company claims a 0-40kmph acceleration in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 70kmph.
