Evera Cabs from Prakriti Mobility is leaving no stones unturned to expand its footprint in the electric cab market by acquiring a substantial portion of BluSmart’s fleet. After the latter’s suspension of services across major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, Evera has already possessed 220 EV cabs, and the rest 180 will soon join its fleet in the coming days. Evera has further revealed that it has a target to acquire 1,000 BluSmart cabs. Evera is expanding its fleet so that it can expand its airport operations in electric mobility.

Evera’s CEO and Co-Founder, Nimish Trivedi, explained that this scale-up is part of a broader shift in India’s electric mobility narrative. He said, “What we’re executing is not just a scale-up, it’s a realignment of the electric mobility narrative in India. As key players recalibrate, Evera is stepping forward with clear intent, absorbing proven EV assets and trusted drivers to ensure uninterrupted service across key routes. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, Evera is committed to providing zero-cancellation, surge-free rides, delivering a seamless, reliable, and affordable electric mobility experience. We’re building a stronger, smarter, and more resilient network for the future. Beyond continuity, our strategy propels leadership, speed, and sets a new benchmark in clean, premium urban transport. Our commitment is to ensure zero disruption for commuters and to elevate their experience through seamless service, operational depth, and an uncompromising focus on sustainability.”

Masterstroke by Evera

This is nothing short of a coup for Evera at a crucial time in the cab electric mobility, where BluSmart has been forced to exit, which has created a service vacuum. The repossession process is being carried out through BluSmart’s lending partners, forming the foundation of Evera’s strategy to scale up its services. In the first phase, the newly acquired electric cabs are being redeployed to ensure uninterrupted service and reduce wait times for airport commuters. The expansion also allows Evera to cover all terminals at Delhi Airport, a significant upgrade from its previous operations limited to Terminal 3.

Evera, which has operated reliably in the B2B and airport cab segment since 2022, is seizing the opportunity to expand its reach and strengthen its operations across the National Capital Region (NCR), especially around Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Alongside the fleet integration, a big chunk of  BluSmart drivers are queuing up to join Evera, with 10% of them being women, underlining the company’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth. Around 150 drivers have already started doing trips. Recruitment efforts are ongoing to ensure service readiness as the fleet scales up.

In the next phase, Evera is doubling down on its airport network expansion, extending services across all terminals of Delhi’s airport. While Evera previously operated only from Terminal 3, the integration of new vehicles enables full-terminal coverage, ensuring better availability and turnaround times for commuters.
