According to a report by Carwale, Audi has issued a recall for the e-tron GT range in India. The e-tron range consists of the e-tron GT and the RS GT e-tron, and a total of 31 cars have been affected. The e-tron range is Audi’s flagship electric sports car range in the country.
Audi e-tron GT range recalled — Reason
According to the report, the e-tron range’s individual cell modules of the high-voltage battery may face irregularities. The possibility is that the battery pack supplier may have had some irregularities during production.
Under certain circumstances, the battery pack may overheat, posing a fire hazard. This can cause damage to the vehicle, its occupants, people in close proximity, and to property as well.
The 31 cars that are affected were manufactured between 9 January, 2020 and 16 February, 2024. Audi is expected to reach out to customers in regard to the fix, which is expected to be free of charge for the customers. Alternatively, customers can also reach out to authorised Audi dealerships to check on the recall.
