EV maker Ather has confirmed that the new Rizta family electric scooter will be launched in India on April 6, the day Ather is set to host its community day. Ather Rizta: What we know so far
The Ather Rizta will feature a large seat and will be a larger vehicle compared to the 450s, which are compact and sporty. The scooter will have a larger floorboard and a relaxed riding posture as well, and the scooter has been seen on test several times over the last few months.
Not many details about the Ather Rizta are known, however, there have been several tweets from the company showcasing its water wading capability and its battery pack being tested extensively.
Speaking of the battery pack, the Rizta could use the 2.9kWh battery pack that powers the 450S. That said, similar to the 450X with the 2.9kWh battery pack, there could be two variants of the Rizta, one in the affordable segment with an LCD dash and the other with a touchscreen TFT console.
Ather has confirmed that the Rizta will have a charging socket, however, the scooter will not get speakers, as this feature will move on to the Halo helmet the company is working on, which could also be showcased at the upcoming community day event.
