Ampere has launched its most premium offering, the Nexus electric scooter, priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Based on a new platform, the new Ampere Nexus is available in two variants – EX and ST, the latter priced at Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom. Also, the pricing is introductory and will see a hike soon.
Designed and developed in-house in the company’s factory in Tamil Nadu, the Ampere Nexus gets a 3kWh LFP battery, which the company claims a certified range of 136km on a full charge. The scooter gets a mid-mounted motor that helps achieve a top speed of 93 kmph.Â
In terms of features, the Ampere Nexus EX variant gets a 6.2-inch LCD console, while the range-topping ST variant gets a 7-inch TFT display. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, hill hold, LED lighting, and five riding modes.
In terms of hardware, the Ampere Nexus gets telescopic front suspension, dual rear shocks, 12-inch wheels, a disc brake at the front, and a drum brake at the rear, while it is available in four colour options: Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey and Indian Red.
