Year-end discounts: Which compact SUV to buy?

Check out the December 2023 offers on the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Fronx, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite.

We have entered the last month of 2023 and manufacturers are pushing for discounts on selected models so that they can clear out the stock for the new year. We list out discounts on compact SUVs and explain which one is a value-for-money proposition. 

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Discounts up to Rs 2.16 lakh

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the most affordable trim of the Jimny, Thunder version, which starts from Rs 10.74 lakh, ex-showroom. Maruti Suzuki is now offering deals on both the Zeta and the Alpha variant. The Zeta trim, including both manual and automatic, are available with a cash discount of up to Rs 2.16 lakh. To sweeten the deal further, there is also a corporate discount of Rs 5000 on both Zeta and Alpha. The latter version, on the other hand, gets a cash discount of Rs 1.16 lakh. Nexa isn’t offering an exchange offer on the Jimny.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Discounts up to Rs 25,000

The Fronx has been a runaway success for Maruti Suzuki and it sold 9,867 units in November 2023. Maruti Suzuki, for the first time, is offering a discount on the compact SUV this month on both the naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engines. Currently, the Fronx comes with a flat cash-back offer of Rs 15,000 and an additional up to Rs 10,000 on exchange. The Fronx is available in CNG, but at the moment Maruti Suzuki isn’t offering any discount on this trim.

Mahindra XUV300: Discounts over Rs 1.5 lakh

Mahindra is working on the facelift XUV300 and the test mule has been caught testing several times. With the updated version to soon make its debut, the manufacturer is now offering discounts on the current XUV300. The compact SUV is available in both diesel and petrol engines and offers a deal worth up to over Rs 1.5 lakh depending on the variant. The top trims also come with an exchange offer of Rs 30,000.

Nissan Magnite: Discounts up to 92,550

Nissan has recently launched the facelift Magnite and is already offering many discounts on the complete range. The entry-level XE has a cash deal worth Rs 11,000, an exchange worth Rs 20,000 and a loyal bonus of Rs 5,000, which is standard across the portfolio. The rest of the non-turbo range offers a maintenance package worth Rs 6,950, a cash offer of Rs 20,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000, and a corporate deal of Rs 5,000. The turbo variants have two maintenance packages of Rs 6,800, a cash deal of Rs 10,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000 and a corporate bonus of Rs 5,000. All the Magnite variants are available with a finance offer of 6.99%.
