Friendship is best expressed via gifts, and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has expressed his friendship with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, by gifting him a car, the Aurus Senat. The car was delivered to Kim’s top officials in the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang. Putin himself uses the Aurus Senat as his presidential vehicle.
Now, with the friendship gift out of the way, let’s look at the car, the Aurus Senat. Aurus was set up after Putin asked Russia to manufacture a luxury car and the result is the Senat, which has been in production since 2018. Run by the Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute, the car was created after Putin’s instruction to make a presidential vehicle.

The sedan is available in three forms: Standard Senat, Senat Long and Senat Limousine. The car is fully armoured and uses a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 590bhp. Some reports say that Porsche had a hand in developing the engine.
The inside of the car features all the luxury one can expect from a presidential car, however, the exact spec the car was delivered to Kim is unknown. It could most likely be armoured, but other features are not known, including the kind of equipment it carries.
