Vinfast will be the latest automotive carmaker to enter India this year. The Vietnamese electric carmaker will officially set foot in India around the festive season this year. The company already showcased a few models earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. These included the VF7 and VF6, both of them scheduled for launch in India this year.
Besides VF7 and VF6, Vinfast is also planning to launch the VF3 subcompact electric SUV early next year. Let us look at some of the key details for all three prospective EVs from Vinfast.
Vinfast VF7
VinFast’s flagship offering for the Indian market will be the VF7, a mid-size electric SUV developed in partnership with Italy’s Torino Design. Showcasing a sleek, coupe-inspired profile, the VF7 is available in two global variants: Eco and Plus. The Eco version features front-wheel drive with an output of 172 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.Â

In contrast, the Plus variant offers all-wheel drive, delivering 344 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Both trims come equipped with a 75.3 kWh battery, offering an estimated WLTP range of up to 450 km. The VF7 is most likely to hit the road around Diwali this year.
Vinfast VF6
The VF6 is a compact electric SUV designed specifically for urban mobility that measures 4,238 mm in length and comes in two trim levels: Eco and Plus. Both versions utilize a front-wheel-drive setup, with the Eco variant delivering 172 bhp and the Plus producing 198 bhp. Power comes from a 59.6 kWh battery, offering a driving range of approximately 381 to 399 km, depending on the trim. Like the VF7, the VF6 is also expected to get launched around Diwali this year.

Vinfast VF3
The third launch from Vinfast in India will be the VF3 which is expected to come out early next year. Measuring less than 3.5 metre in length, the two-door micro electric SUV that flaunts SUV-like styling with flared wheel arches, chunky bumpers, and an aggressive stance. To be available in a rear-wheel drive configuration, if and when launched, the VF3 will go up against the MG Comet EV.
