VinFast is all geared to set foot in India after making its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. The Vietnamese EV manufacturer has now officially started accepting bookings for its upcoming cars — VF7 and VF6 — slated to launch later this year. Interested customers can register their interests and pre-book either of the cars at a token amount of Rs 21,000.

The vehicles will be assembled locally at VinFast’s upcoming factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This upcoming facility is a key component of the company’s $500 million investment in India and is expected to produce 150,000 vehicles annually at full capacity, generating around 3,500 direct employment opportunities.

VinFast plans to set up 32 dealerships across 27 cities, building a strong 3S ecosystem encompassing Sales, Service, and Spares. The initial phase will focus on major urban centres and emerging EV hubs, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Cochin, Bhubaneswar, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Surat, Calicut, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Shimla, Agra, Jhansi, Gwalior, Vapi, Baroda, and Goa.
