Hyundai had a busy 2024 with the company updating its existing lineup. This included the launch of the facelifted Creta, Creta N Line, and Alcazar facelift. The upcoming year will also be busy for the Korean carmaker which will see new or updated models making their way into the Indian roads. Let us check out which models from Hyundai will come out in 2025.

Hyundai Creta EV

The biggest launch of the year from Hyundai will be the Creta EV which is slated to break cover on 17 January at the next edition of Bharat Mobility Expo. Test mules of the all-electric Creta have been spotted on numerous occasions over the past two years. The design of the Creta EV will most likely remain unchanged barring few subtle variations.

While there’s no official word on it regarding its specs, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV is expected to draw power from a 45 kWh battery. It will borrow the same powertrain as Hyundai Kona electric sold internationally. This will involve a single-motor setup driving the front wheels and delivering 136 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. When launched, the Hyundai Creta EV will go up against the likes of MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift

The Ioniq 5 facelift made its global debut earlier in 2024 and it is expected to land in India sometime later in 2025. First launched in January 2023, the Ioniq 5 comes to India as a CKD import. The facelifted model will be 20mm longer than the existing version while aerodynamics has also improved by extending the rear spoiler by 50mm. The international-spec model now comes with a larger 84 kWh battery but it’s unclear if this unit will be available in India.

New-gen Hyundai Venue

It was reported a few months back that Hyundai is possibly working on the second generation Venue. A test mule of the new-gen Venue was spotted in South Korea earlier in 2024. The spy shots suggested changes in exterior design including a new front fascia featuring a wider grille with rectangular elements.

We expect Hyundai to offer the same set of engine options as the current model which include an 82 bhp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, a 118 bhp 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit, and a 114 bhp 1.5-litre diesel unit. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual), and a 7-speed DCT automatic. It is likely to make its global debut sometime in the second half of 2025, followed by an India debut towards the end of the year.
