Toyota recently launched the mild-hybrid diesel-powered variants of Fortuner and Legender. This mild-hybrid tech is only available with the diesel automatic variants of Fortuner and Legender priced at Rs 44.72 lakh and Rs 48.09 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. Now, Toyota has hiked prices of selected variants of both SUVs.
The Japanese carmaker has increased the prices of its non-hybrid petrol and diesel variants of Fortuner and Legender by up to Rs 68,000. In addition, Toyota has also added a new Platinum White Pearl exterior colour scheme in the Fortuner lineup. The petrol variants have seen a hike of Rs 68,000 whereas diesel variants have witnessed a hike of up to Rs 40,000.
Toyota Fortuner, Legender price hike
The 4×2 petrol automatic variant of the Toyota Fortuner has received the highest price hike of Rs 68,000, bringing its new price to Rs 36.05 lakh. In comparison, all diesel variants — across both manual and automatic configurations—have uniformly gone up by Rs 40,000. Additionally, opting for the Pearl White exterior finish on a diesel variant will cost an extra Rs 15,000.
At the top of the price range is the GR-S 4×4 automatic diesel, now priced at Rs 52.34 lakh. Notably, the standard Fortuner diesel 4×4 is now available exclusively with the newly introduced mild-hybrid powertrain. This variant is priced at ₹44.72 lakh, marking a significant increase of Rs 2 lakh over the previous model.

Both variants of the Legender — the 4×4 diesel manual and the 4×2 diesel automatic — have seen a uniform price increase of ₹40,000 each. The updated prices now stand at Rs 46.76 lakh and Rs 44.51 lakh, respectively. Similar to the standard Fortuner, the Legender 4×4 diesel automatic is now offered exclusively with the 48V mild-hybrid powertrain. This updated variant carries a premium of Rs 2 lakh over the previously available non-hybrid version.
