Toyota Fortuner holds great significance in India. It is one of the few true SUVs left in the market and people opt for it due to multiple reasons including its indomitable road presence, bullet proof build quality, impressive off-road capabilities, and to top it off – Toyota’s reliability. Even though it is ridiculously expensive for its segment, people with the means to buy it often vouch for it.
The Japanese automaker has announced a significant milestone, marking a cumulative sales of 3 lakh units of the Fortuner and Legender. Ever since it was first launched in 2009, the Toyota Fortuner has been the leader of India’s D-segment SUV space. It’s more premium derivative — Legender — made its debut in 2021.
Speaking on the milestone, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the passionate Fortuner and Legender fan base in India for their unwavering trust in our brand as we celebrate the remarkable 3-lakh milestone of our most admired SUV. The Fortuner and Legender remains a top choice among SUV enthusiasts who seek a perfect blend of luxury, performance, and reliability.”
