On the other hand, some new features are critical when it comes to safety like recording vandals from breaking into your vehicle or even helping you prevent insurance fraud. Renault Triber Urban Knight
The Renault Triber is one of the most value-for-money vehicles in the market as it’s the most pocket-friendly 7-seater vehicle. The Triber also scored a 4-star Global NCAP safety rating. Moving on to the dash cam, Renault recently launched the special edition Triber Urban Knight which comes with some new additional goodies including a 9.6-inch smart internal rearview mirror that doubles up as a dashboard camera display. To give multiple angles, the dash cam receives the feed from both front and rear cameras. Based on the top-of-the-line trim, the RXZ, the Urban Knight is available in both a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-step AMT. The Triber is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspired engine with an output of 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm at 3,500rpm.

Renault Kiger Urban Knight
Renault also launched the Urban Knight edition of the Kiger. Like the Triber, the Kiger is also limited to 300 units. The sub 4 metre SUV gets a 9.6-inch smart mirror monitor that doubles up as a dashboard camera. Apart from this feature, it comes with new cabin ambient light, scuff plate, puddle lamp, silver skip plates and silver inserts on door panels. The Kiger is available in two engine options — 1-litre turbo and 1-litre naturally aspirated. The former churns out 99bhp and 160Nm while the automatic turbo has a torque of 152Nm. The naturally aspirated one has the same output as the Triber

Hyundai Exter
The new kid on the block, the Hyundai Exter, comes equipped with a dashboard cam that has a lens for the road and another one for the cabin facing the driver and the passengers. The Exter is the second vehicle in the Hyundai lineup to come with this feature after the Venue N-Line. As expected the top of the top-of-the-line Exter SX(O) Connect is available with this technology. The Exter is powered by the 82bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine with 113.8Nm of torque.

Hyundai Venue
The Venue N-Line was the first Hyundai vehicle to offer a dashboard camera and now recently the special edition Knight also comes with this feature. The Knight range is available in both the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1-litre turbo. Hyundai has decided to give it a miss with the diesel powertrain. The Knight range offers the dash camera in three trims — S(O), SX and SX(O) based on the engine options. The N-Line, on the other hand, only gets this feature on the N6 trim, which is available in four options. While the 1.2-litre petrol has identical specifications as the one in the Exter, the turbo petrol has an output of 118bhp and 172Nm of torque.

Skoda Slavia
With the festive season, Skoda has launched the Slavia Ambition Plus variant. This new trim is only available in the 1-litre turbo petrol and comes in a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Ambition Plus introduces plenty of new features including the dashboard camera and a chrome kit. The 1-litre turbo engine pumps out 113bhp with 178Nm and according to Skoda the manual returns a fuel average of 20.32 kmpl and the automatic 18.73 kmpl.
