Honda is gearing up to launch the new third generation Amaze in India. The compact sedan was recently spied in its final production form and now it has been spied once again just a week ahead of its launch slated for December 4. A video showing a final production unit of the Amaze sans camouflage has surfaced on YouTube.
According to the latest video, courtesy of Car Holic 14, the new-gen Amaze has started arriving in Honda dealerships and this video has been reportedly shot at one of the dealer yards. The latest pictures are the clearest spy images of the third-gen Amaze yet. The latest spy shots reveal the updated exterior and interiors of the new Amaze.
Third-gen Honda Amaze: Exterior design
As seen in the latest spy images, the new-gen Amaze gets a completely reworked front fascia featuring a redesigned front grille with gloss-black honeycomb mesh internals and the Big H’ logo taking centre stage, which is reminiscent of the Elevate. The new grille is headlined by a thick chrome trim and flanked by new dual-LED projector headlamps.

The car is wrapped in Obsidian Blue Pearl shade which has been borrowed from its larger sibling City. The side profile indicates that Honda has adopted more curves with the latest iteration of Amaze and let go of its slightly boxy silhouette of the outgoing model. The distinct shoulder line has been retained. The multi-spoke alloy wheel design is another notable change. The rear end of the new Amaze mimics the City in every possible manner, right from the taillamps, to the boot lid spoiler and the bumper.
Third-gen Honda Amaze: Interiors
Inside the cabin too, the new-gen Amaze gets a complete makeover with a completely redesigned dashboard layout flaunting a dual-tone black and beige theme along with a floating touchscreen infotainment system. Highlights like the rectangular AC vents, climate control panel with two toggle switches, and steering wheel look familiar to the Elevate.

In terms of features, the new-gen Amaze is expected to come equipped with a semi-digital instrument console, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, etc. In terms of safety, ESP, and traction control are expected to make the cut.
Third-gen Honda Amaze: Powertrain
Mechanically, the third-gen Honda Amaze will remain unchanged and will continue to draw its power from a 1.2-litre iVtec naturally aspirated petrol motor which pushes out 89 bhp and 110 NM of peak torque in its current avatar. This motor is paired with either a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
