Tata Motors is the leader of electric vehicles (EVs) in the passenger car industry with as many as five EVs in its current lineup. The homegrown carmaker will soon add its sixth all-electric model in its portfolio with the launch of the Harrier.ev tomorrow. After making its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the fully-electric Harrier will finally hit the showroom on June 3.
The electric Harrier has been in development for a very long time with its first concept breaking cover way back at Auto Expo 2020. In the past few months, the Harrier EV has been spotted testing on numerous occasions. Ahead of its market launch, let us look at all that we know about the Harrier EV till now.
Tata Harrier EV: Design
Although it may resemble its internal combustion engine counterpart, the Harrier EV is built on the advanced Acti.ev Gen 2 electric vehicle architecture. As a purpose-built electric SUV, it features a body-coloured, enclosed front grille typical of EVs. The design retains the signature split headlight layout along with LED sequential indicators. The DRLs are likely connected by a silver-finished grille, complemented by redesigned bumpers, updated skid plates, and new alloy wheels. The charging port is positioned on the right side of the vehicle.

Tata Harrier EV: Interiors & Features
As revealed in earlier spy shots, the Harrier EV’s cabin layout closely mirrors that of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. The Stealth Edition is expected to feature the same design, finished entirely in black. Meanwhile, the standard Harrier EV is likely to sport a dual-tone dashboard. Key interior highlights include a 12.3-inch Harman-sourced infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Other features expected in the mid-size electric SUV such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium 10-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer, dual-zone climate control, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, in-built navigation, a powered tailgate, ambient lighting, and advanced connected car technology. The all-electric Harrier will also boast of features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.

Safety will be taken care of by 7 airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and more.
Tata Harrier EV: Powertrain specs
While official powertrain specifications are yet to be disclosed, Tata Motors has confirmed that the Harrier EV will feature a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. This has been emphasised in Tata’s latest advertising campaign where the SUV can be seen conquering an extremely challenging peak with a 34-degree incline.Â
Although the exact power output remains unknown, the SUV will deliver a peak torque of 500 Nm. Additionally, it is expected to offer a single-charge range of over 500 km, though the battery capacity has not yet been revealed.
Tata Harrier EV: Expected Price
We expect Tata Motors to price the Harrier EV aggressively starting around Rs 22-23 lakh (ex-showroom). This will put it up against the likes of Mahindra XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 7e.
