Tata Motors launched the heavily anticipated Harrier EV last month after years of development. Bookings for the battery-powered SUV commenced at the start of this month and a couple of days ago, production for the same officially began. On paper, the Harrier EV has managed to impress most with a competitive price tag, exhilarating performance, decent range, and tons of features.

The Harrier EV has gained another premium feature which makes it more desirable for prospective buyers. The all-electric Harrier now comes with a new audio system from Dolby Atmos which claims to offer an immersive experience for occupants.

Tata joins only a handful of mass-market carmakers in India to offer an audio system that supports Dolby Atmos. Mahindra offers a Dolby Atmos system in cars like Thar Roxx, XUV700, Scorpio N, BE 6 and XEV 9e. Besides Tata and Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz offers this feature in the Maybach S-Class range.
