Tata Motors launched the Harrier EV earlier this month at a starting price of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) To be available in both 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs, Harrier recently revealed prices of all single-motor, rear-wheel drive variants of the Harrier EV. At the time of its launch, Tata Motors withheld some details of the Harrier EV.
Tata Harrier EV: Battery, Motor, Range, & Price
For instance, Tata Motors only revealed the range of the bigger 75 kWh unit which claims to return a range of 627 km with the RWD single-motor setup and 622 km with the all-wheel driven (AWD), dual-motor variants. The homegrown carmaker has now officially listed the range of the 65 kWh battery pack that promises a single-charge of 538 km (ARAI).
However, Tata says that the real-world range of the Harrier EV, equipped with a 65 kWh battery pack is likely to be around 420-455 km on a full-charge. The rear-wheel-drive variants of the Harrier EV produce 235 bhp and 315 Nm of torque, whereas the all-wheel-drive version with the 75 kWh battery delivers a combined output of 309 bhp and 504 Nm of peak torque.

As of now, Tata Motors has confirmed six variants of the Harrier EV out of which prices for five variants have been announced. The price for the top-spec Harrier EV Empowered 75 AWD variant will be announced on 27 June.

Tata Harrier EV: Terrain modes
It has also come to light that the top-spec Harrier EV Empowered 75 AWD variant will come equipped with 6 terrain modes namely Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl,, and Custom. In addition, the Harrier EV AWD will also come with a Boost drive mode which the RWD variants of the electric SUV lack.

The Harrier EV RWD variants with the 75 kWh battery will come with three terrain modes (Normal, Wet, Rough) for the Fearless trim and four terrain modes (Normal, Wet, Rough, Custom) for the Empowered trim. The 65 kWh Adventure variants of the electric SUV come with three modes (Normal, Wet, Rough).
Tata Harrier EV: Off-road potential
All Harrier EV variants offer the same off-road geometry, featuring a 25.3-degree approach angle, 26.4-degree departure angle, and a 16.6-degree breakover angle. However, the AWD versions come equipped with an additional Boost drive mode, along with terrain modes such as Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud, Sand, Rock, and Custom. The AWD variants also boast a superior gradability of 47 percent, compared to 28 percent for the RWD variants.
