Tata Motors continues to have faith in the premium segment. As a result, the Indian automobile manufacturer will launch the facelift version of the Altroz on May 22. Tata Altroz new vs old: Design
The Altroz continues to sport the split headlight styling, but the LED headlights are twin pod in shape with a streak of LED DRL above it and a cube-shaped LED nestled on the top side of the front bumper. The front fender is new with four horizontal slats, and the honeycomb front grille is replaced with a sleeker black grille. The side profile remains pretty much the same, but it now comes with illuminated flush door handle bars, new 16-inch alloy wheels and retains the rear door handles in the C-pillar. Coming to the rear, Tata Motors has confirmed that only the top variants will get infinity tail lights that run across the tailgate.
Tata Altroz new vs old: Cabin and Features
Taking cues from the new and updated Tata cars like the Curvv and Nexon, the 2025 Altroz will replace the three-spoke steering wheel with a two-spoke one with illuminated log and toggle and button switches. The 2025 Altroz will be equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, previously only available on the Altroz Race edition, which will now be available in the standard lineup. New features include a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, auto-dimming IRVM, enhanced telematics, ambient lighting, six airbags, etc.
Tata Altroz new vs old: Engine Options
The 2025 Tata Altroz retains its existing powertrain lineup, including an 84 bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and an 89 bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine, with options for a 5-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The sporty Altroz Racer variant gets a punchy 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, mated solely to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
