Tata Motors is preparing to launch the facelifted Altroz later this week. Slated to hit the market on May 22, this will be the first major update to the Altroz ever since it was first launched in early 2020, barring addition of new engine options namely iCNG, iTurbo, and Racer.

The upcoming iteration of the Altroz will receive significant visual and functional upgrades over the existing model. While we have already discussed the visual updates at length previously, let us look at some of the new features that the Altroz facelift offers over the outgoing model.

1. Larger display with inbuilt navigation

The new Tata Altroz will benefit from a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as compared to the older semi-digital unit in the current model. Moreover, the new instrumentation comes equipped with in-built navigation which is seen on the Nexon and Curvv.

2. Sunroof

This is the first time that Tata Altroz will offer an electric sunroof. The only other model in this space that offers a sunroof is Hyundai i20.

3. Wireless phone charging

Gone are the days when you needed cables to charge your phone. The new Altroz comes with a wireless charging pad that lets you recharge your smartphones or smart watches wirelessly.

4. Air purifier

Clean air has become almost a myth today, especially in metropolitan and Tier 1 centres. Hence, the addition of an air purifier will not only enhance the premium value of Altroz but also make lungs cleaner.

5. Ambient Lighting

Another premium feature added in the latest iteration of Altroz is ambient lighting. In the upcoming version of the Altroz, Tata Motors will be offering ambient/mood lighting carried over from Nexon and Curvv.

6. 360-degree camera

Upgrading from a regular reverse camera, the Tata Altroz facelift will come equipped with a 360-degree camera, that would make parking in tight spaces a much easier and more convenient task.

7. Enhanced safety

Tata Altroz was one of the first made-in-India cars to receive a 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP. With the latest iteration, the Altroz is bound to become safer with the addition of six airbags as standard across the range, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
