Skoda has revealed the range-topping Monte Carlo edition of Slavia. Bookings for the former commences today ( 2 September 2024) from 5 pm onwards. The Czech carmaker has been teasing the same on social media without unveiling the name or form of the sedan for the past couple of days.

Skoda Monte Carlo: Cosmetic highlights

The Slavia Monte Carlo Edition will be on the same lines as the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition, which means sportier aesthetics as compared to the standard model. In the latest teaser, the Slavia Monte Carlo Edition is seen wrapped in a red colour scheme with blacked out elements such as front radiator grille, roof, alloy wheels, gloss black ORMVs, and 16-inch blacked-out alloy wheels which accentuate the car’s sporty appeal.

Further a gloss black rear spoiler, piano black embellishments around fog lamps, blacked-out air dams and diffuser, darkened LED taillamps, and Monte Carlo badgings on the fenders complete the overall look of the sedan. Other visual highlights of the Slavia Monte Carlo edition, it gets LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, black diffuser on the rear bumper, and special Monte Carlo edition scuff plates, etc.

In terms of interior features, the Slavia Monte Carlo edition will benefit from a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, wireless phone mirroring, climate control with rear AC vents, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, and six airbags as standard across the range. There is also a possibility that Skoda might add Level 2 ADAS features and a 360-degree camera to enhance the safety package of the Slavia.

Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo expected engine specs

The teaser reveals that Skoda will surely offer the Slavia Monte Carlo Edition with a 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. This powertrain returns 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Other variants also come with a six-speed manual gearbox option as well.

However, there’s a possibility that Skoda will also offer the Monte Carlo edition of Slavia with the 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which kicks out 114 bhp and 175 Nm of torque, just like the Kushaq Monte Carlo. This motor is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Sports Edition

Besides the Monte Carlo, Skoda will also unveil a new range of Slavia and Kushaq called the Sports Edition. The same has also been teased on the social media handles of the Czech car brand. From the partial glimpse, it gets a similar set of cosmetic changes as the Monte Carlo edition but is available with the different exterior colour schemes.

This means black-out enhancements to render a sporty character will be offered in both models of the Sports edition. We expect the Sports range to be placed just below the Monte Carlo variants in both Kushaq and Slavia. More details of the same will be available when the models are officially launched.
