The Signature Plus is priced from Rs 11.40 lakh onwards, while the top-tier Prestige starts at Rs 13.35 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom.

Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, mentioned that the Chakan plant will initially produce 8,500 units of the Kylaq in phases, with the potential to increase production based on demand. He emphasized that Skoda aims to keep the waiting period within three months. Skoda Kylaq: Engine Specs and Mileage
The Kylaq is available with a single engine option, the 1-litre TSI with an output of 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission. According to Skoda, the Kylaq does zero to 100 kmph in 10.5 seconds with the manual transmission and has a top speed of 188 kmph.
Based on internal mileage testing, Skoda’s Janeba revealed that the Kylaq’s manual version will rank among the top three fuel-efficient vehicles in the compact SUV segment, achieving around 20 kmpl. He also mentioned that the automatic variant will be slightly less fuel-efficient, returning one to two kmpl fewer.

Unlike some of its competitors, Skoda has decided not to pursue a CNG option for the Kylaq. Janeba explained that integrating CNG technology with a turbo petrol engine is a costly process that would drive up the vehicle’s price. Instead, Skoda is confident that the 1-litre TSI turbo petrol engine in the Kylaq offers excellent fuel efficiency on its own.
On the safety front, Janeba expressed strong confidence that the Kylaq will achieve a full 5-star rating in crash tests, just like the Slavia and Kushaq models before it.
