Bollywood actors have an obsession with exquisite cars and many famous actors have a garage full of cars. The latest to make news is Shahid Kapoor, who has taken delivery of a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, the luxury version of the already luxurious GLS SUV. Valued at Rs 3.5 crore, the SUV is finished in Emerald Green and is the second Maybach in Kapoor’s garage.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 550bhp and 730 Nm of torque via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 4.8 seconds via an all-wheel-drive system.
Shahid Kapoor’s car collection
As mentioned earlier, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is not his first luxury car, as the actor has a Maybach S-Class, which sells for Rs 2.69 crore. The S-Class owned by Kapoor is finished in white, while the carmaker offers two engine choices — a 496bhp 4.0-litre engine and a 603bhp 6.0-litre engine.
Apart from the two Maybach models, Shahid Kapoor owns a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, an AMG S 400, a Jaguar XKR-S, a Porsche Cayenne GTS, and a Range Rover, completing his car collection. The actor is also known for having a soft spot for Mercedes’, explaining the number of cars he owns made by the German carmaker, while also buying his kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor, miniature remote-controlled Mercedes-Benz cars.
