By contributing to the mobility and transportation needs of the Eastern Command, Indian Army, Renault has announced to provide two of its models, Triber and Kiger, to support the nation’s defence forces.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO, Renault India said, “We are truly honoured to support the Eastern Command of the Indian Army by providing these vehicles. The Triber and Kiger reflect Renault’s commitment to quality, safety, and the Make in India initiative. We are confident that these vehicles will improve the mobility and logistical capabilities of the Eastern Command. Renault India is dedicated to serving the community and supporting those who protect our nation. This contribution is a small gesture of our appreciation for their invaluable service.”
Designed for Indian families, the seven seater Triber MUV, comes in both manual and automatic transmission and is powered by a 999cc engine giving 71.01 bhp power and 96 Nm of torque. Technological enhancements feature a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, a wireless charger, and convenient additions such as a driver seat armrest and power-folding ORVMs.
The five seater Kiger SUV comes in automatic transmission and is powered by a 999cc engine giving 98.63 bhp power and 152 Nm of torque. It features luxurious semi-leatherette seats and a leatherette steering wheel. New technological features include auto-fold ORVMs and a bezel-less auto-dim IRVM. The Turbo engine variant now sports red brake callipers, and the lineup is expanded with new RXL and RXT(O) variants, offering more choices for customers.
Recently, Renault India introduced the Night & Day Special Edition across its entire range, the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber.
Said to be transforming under the ‘Renaulution’, Renault plans to offer a competitive, electrified range, while Renault India operates a Chennai facility with a capacity of 480,000 units and over 380 sales and 450 service touchpoints nationwide.
