Renault has a busy next few months. While the focus has been mostly on the new-gen Duster and its seven-seat sibling named Boreal that are going to launch next year, Renault is also working on the facelifts of Kiger and Triber which are expected to launch later this year. Test mules of the Kiger and Triber have been spotted on a few occasions over the past few months.

Both vehicles have been spied once testing again, this time together. The test units of Kiger and Triber seen in the latest spy pics show fully-camouflaged prototypes of the subcompact SUV and MPV. Both updated models are expected to launch around the festive seasons this year.

2025 Renault Triber facelift: Changes expected

The upcoming Triber facelift visibly undergoes many exterior changes. The front face looks completely redesigned with a new split lighting setup featuring LED DRLs on top and the main headlamp cluster below within the front bumper. As a result the front bumper has also been reprofiled. The grille has been reduced to a sleek vent whereas the air dam has been enlarged to take up a trapezoidal shape which is flanked by circular LED fog lamps.

At the rear, the taillight clusters will be revised while the tailgate appears to be flatter than the current model. On a closer glance, one notices that Renault has raised the height of Triber’s ceiling in order to provide more headroom, especially for third-row occupants which has been one of its biggest concerns.

2025 Renault Kiger facelift: Changes expected

Changes in the Kiger will be more moderate since Kiger already follows Renault’s new design language. There are a few styling tweaks up front. Up front, the Kiger facelift will receive minimal changes which may include small changes to the headlamp setup. At the rear, the taillamps are completely with redesigned squared housing replacing the C-shaped LED units.

2025 Renault Kiger facelift: Expected Powertrain

Mechanically, both cars will largely remain unchanged. The Kiger will continue to offer two petrol engine options: 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit and 1.0-litre turbocharged unit. The former kicks out 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. This unit is paired with either a 5-speed AMT or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.

The 1.0-litre turbocharged unit kicks out 99 bhp and 160 Nm (152 Nm in AT) of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The Triber, on the other hand, gets only the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit, but we expect Renault to offer the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit as an option for the upcoming facelifted iteration of the MPV.
