After launching the facelifted Triber late last month, Renault is going on the offensive, launching another facelift in the next couple of weeks. The French carmaker is gearing up to launch the updated version of Kiger as the company has shared a block your date invite for August 24.
First launched in early 2021, Renault Kiger is one of the most affordable subcompact SUVs in its segment, along with its platform cousin— Nissan Magnite. However, after initial success, sales of the Kiger dipped drastically, and it reached to a point where Renault can’t even dispatch a 1000 units of the crossover in a month.Â
Test mules of the updated Kiger have been spotted on numerous occasions in the last few months. We expect the new Kiger to receive small cosmetic updates both on the exterior as well as interiors. It is also likely to gain a few more features over the outgoing model.

Renault Kiger facelift: Expected Exterior & Interiors
As per the spy shots leaked over the last few months and the latest teaser, the facelifted Kiger is expected to receive only minor cosmetic tweaks since Kiger already follows Renault’s new design language. As the teaser suggests the taillamps have been altered slightly with different internals. The other change visible in the teaser image is the addition of a new exterior paint scheme— a lighter shade of green.Â
Based on the spy shots, it was inferred that the Kiger facelift will get a revised front bumper but more importantly it will flaunt Renault’s new brand logo. We also expect a new front grille and a new pair of headlamps.

Expect a few changes inside the cabin as well, like new materials and colour schemes. In terms of features, expect to come equipped with a freestanding 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument panel, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, and more.
Renault Kiger facelift: Powertrain
Powertrain options are expected to remain the same on the new Kiger. These will include a 1.0 naturally aspirated and 1.0 turbo petrol engines. The former produces 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque whereas the latter kicks out 99 bhp and 160 Nm (152 Nm in AT) of torque. Both engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. While the NA petrol comes with a 5-speed AMT, the turbo-petrol gets a CVT.
