Once in a while, small firms can churn out the biggest surprises. With a ton of safety and emission norms in place now, pure sports cars from smaller firms are becoming rare. One such example is the Dallara Stradale, which first made its debut in 2017.

For those who don’t know, the Stradale was built by Dallara Automobili, an Italian racecar maker known for building F1, IndyCar, Super Formula, Formula E, Formula 3 and Endurance racing cars. To celebrate Gian Paolo Dallara’s 81st birthday, the Stradale was introduced to the world.

The car featured extensive use of carbon fibre composite materials and took two years to develop with the company’s extensive motorsport knowledge. The result was an 855kg sportscar that used a 2.3-litre supercharged engine that made a massive 400bhp using a 6-speed manual gearbox.

However, it was not an all-out track car because a roof and windshield could be added, even featuring gullwing doors. For the track, it can be fitted with a spoiler, which gives the car 820kg of downforce, almost the same weight as the car itself. Now that said, it is unique to spot such a car and this is what happens when one is spotted in pristine condition.
