Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, known for his movies such as Gully Boy and Bajirao Mastani, has treated himself to a new electric SUV. Priced at around 4.5 crore as per reports floating on the internet, the actor has made a unique choice, and probably a first when it comes to Bollywood stars. The actor has bought an electric Hummer.
The new Hummer EV Ranveer Singh has bought is the actor’s first EV and it was delivered to him on a flatbed, along with another electric Hummer, suggesting that the cars were imported by Friday Night Cars.
Hummer EV — What makes it special?
To start off, the name itself — Hummer. The Hummer EV is powered by a 178kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 505km. The electric motor and battery pack combination make 830 bhp, driving all four wheels. The Hummer EV, despite weighing over 4,000kg, can accelerate from 0–100kmph in 3.5 seconds.
That said, the Hummer EV also has a cool feature, called the Crab Walk, which allows the vehicle to move in a diagonal direction. This comes in handy in tricky situations such as off-roading or when a person is stuck in a tight spot.
Other features of the Hummer EV include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, GMC Super Cruise, a 13.4-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, and ventilated seats, among others.
