Nissan has been largely reduced to a one-trick pony with the Magnite being the only mainstream offering, discounting the X-Trail which is available as a Completely Built Unit in limited numbers. The fact that Magnite is not among the highest-sellers among its segment rivals makes things more difficult for the Japanese brand.
To stay visible in the market, Nissan has to constantly play with the Magnite and bring out some form of update for the subcompact SUV. The company plans to do something similar by launching a special edition model of Magnite. Nissan has already shared a couple of teasers of the upcoming Nissan special edition without revealing any specific details.
From the teasers shared, it seems Nissan is launching a dark edition model of Magnite, most likely the Kuro Edition. Launched in 2023, the Magnite Kuro Edition was an all-black edition of the crossover with updated exterior and interior styling over the standard model. However, Nissan didn’t continue with the Kuro Edition when the Magnite facelift was launched late last year.
