Nissan has announced a major milestone for its compact SUV— Magnite — which has surpassed 200,000 cumulative sales globally since its launch in late 2020. This achievement spans both domestic and international markets, marking a pivotal point in the company’s India growth story. The Magnite’s success reinforces Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy and demonstrates its broad appeal across markets.
The compact SUV has made a strong mark in the highly competitive B-SUV segment by offering a compelling mix of dynamic design, class-leading features, safety, and value. With a presence in over 65 countries across Right-Hand Drive and Left-Hand Drive markets, the Magnite has resonated well with customers globally.
According to Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, this milestone reflects the company’s commitment to delivering quality and value, and to strengthening its “Make in India, Make for the World” strategy. Nissan sold over 99,000 units in FY2024-25 — a seven-year high. The Magnite contributed over 28,000 units to domestic sales and over 71,000 units to exports, underscoring its role as a key growth driver and export model for the company.
Nissan Magnite CNG introduced
In response to increasing consumer demand for alternative fuel options, Nissan Motor India has introduced a CNG retrofitment kit for the Magnite. Approved by the government and manufactured by Motozen, the kit is priced at Rs 74,999 and is compatible with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual transmission. Installation will be carried out at authorized fitment centres.
The New Magnite continues to stand out in its segment with over 20 first- and best-in-segment features and more than 55 safety features. Its bold and premium design, combined with these offerings, makes it a strong value proposition in the compact SUV category. With this latest achievement, Nissan aims to build on the Magnite’s momentum to further strengthen its position in the Indian and global automotive markets.
