Next-gen Hyundai Venue caught testing: Here’s what to expect

The new Hyundai Venue will feature refreshed exterior styling and an update in safety with the addition of Level 2 ADAS suite.

Hyundai is gearing up to regain its lost ground in the compact SUV segment with the upcoming all-new Venue. The second-generation SUV was caught testing and even though it was fully camouflaged, there were a lot of new details that we that new come across. The 2025 Venue is expected to make its debut in the festival time. It will take on its traditional rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra 3XO, etc. Here’s what we know so far about the next-generation Venue.

Hyundai Venue: Exteriors

Ever since the Venue made its debut in 2019, it has only received a facelift in 2022. Taking a leaf out of the Creta, the Venue boasts an L-shaped LED DRL, but it runs all the way down to the front bumper. It sports a split headlight design with a parametric grille. The skid plates come in silver colour. From the spy images, the rear seems to be redesigned with new LED tail lights, and a shark fin antenna and the bumper houses the number plate. It also sports a new alloy wheels.

Hyundai Venue: Interiors and Features

The information about the cabin is fairly limited but the 2025 Venue is expected to get a newly designed dashboard with a larger infotainment system along with an all-digital instrument console. The compact SUV will offer ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. One of the crucial updates will be the Level 2 ADAS. 

Hyundai Venue: Engine Specifications

The new Venue will retain all three powertrains. The entry-level trim will be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol with an output of 82 bhp at 6,00 rpm and 113.8 Nm at 4,000 rpm with a single 5-speed manual gearbox. For enthusiasts, there’s the 1-litre turbo petrol with an output of 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm at 1,500 – 4,000 rpm with two transmission options — a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. There will also be the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre diesel with 114 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm at 1,500 – 2,750 rpm with a 6-speed manual.
