The anticipation is nearly over as Mahindra gears up to unveil the highly awaited SUV, the Thar Roxx. The Indian carmaker has unveiled a fresh teaser of the five-door Thar ahead of its official debut on August 15. This latest teaser sheds further light on the details of the soon-to-be-released off-roader.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: What’s new?
Mahindra’s new teaser showcases that the five-door Thar Roxx gets a brand new front fascia as the iconic seven vertical slats are thicker and a lot more prominent. This will up the Thar’s game further when it comes to muscular road presence. Mahindra has updated the new Thar with a bigger all-LED headlight with C-shaped LED DLRs. It continues to sport tall shoulder height indicators and foglamps nestled in the chunky front bumper. The top variant is expected to get all-LED lighting.

Like the three-door Thar, the Roxx will get door-mounted outside rearview mirrors with the Thar Roxx badging below the A-pillar. Stating the obvious, the five-door version is longer due to the additional two rear doors, but what the teaser revealed is that the company has designed the door handles into the C-pillar. The Thar Roxx sports a brand new set of dual-tone alloy wheels which are expected to be 18-inch in size like the three-door version.
Moving to the rear, it retains box-shaped tail lamps with updated C-shaped LED lights.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Features
Mahindra is looking to up its game when it comes to premium features. The new Thar Roxx will get a 10.25-inch infotainment system, which is an upgrade from the 7-inch touch screen from the three-door Thar. It will also get a bigger 10.25-inch all-digital driver’s console, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
The biggest update will be the Level 2 ADAS safety suite that will offer adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition etc. Thar Roxx will be available in two drivetrains — rear-wheel drive and 4×4.Â
